Teesside University, Middlesbrough มหาวิทยาลัยตั้งอยู่ใจกลางเมือง Middlesbrough ทางตอนเหนือของประเทศอังกฤษ เป็นเมืองที่น่าอยู่ มีค่าครองชีพต่ำ ประชากรเป็นมิตร และยังเป็นเมืองที่สวยงามทั้งทางประวัติศาสตร์ ธรรมชาติ รวมถึงมีแนวชายฝังที่ยาวที่สุดของประเทศอังกฤษ อยู่ห่างจากกรุงลอนดอนประมาณ 3 ชั่วโมงโดยรถไฟ ปัจจุบันมีนักศึกษา กว่า 30,000 คน โดยมีนักศึกษาต่างชาติประมาณ 1,400 คน เดิมทีมหาวิทยาลัยเป็นสถาบันการสอนที่มีชื่อว่า “Constantine College” โดยมีพระเจ้าเอ็ดเวิร์ดที่ 8 เป็นผู้เปิดสถาบันแห่งนี้ในปี ค.ศ. 1930 จนกระทั่งในปี ค.ศ. 1992 Privy Council ได้มีการอนุมัติ 14 สถาบันให้เปลี่ยนเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยและ 1 นั้นก็มี Teesside University รวมอยู่ด้วย Teesside University, Middlesbrough เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยขนาดใหญ่และทันสมัย พร้อมด้วยสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก และอุปกรณ์การเรียนการสอนครบครัน มหาวิทยาลัยมีหลักสูตรที่มีชื่อเสียงด้าน วิชาช่างและด้านวิชาชีพ นอกจากนี้ยังมีวิชาด้าน Forensic Science, Sport and Exercise, Computer Game Design และ Animation หลายหลักสูตรมีการฝึกงานพร้อมทั้งได้รับค่าตอบแทนระหว่างฝึกงาน จากการสำรวจของ Times Higher Education Supplement Annual Student Survey 2007 พบว่ามหาวิทยาลัยได้รับการยอมรับทั้งทางด้านคุณภาพการเรียนการสอน และชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีของนักศึกษาในลำดับต้นๆ ยังการันตีด้วยรางวัล University of the Year 2009/2010 ปัจจุบัน Teesside University, Middlesbrough ได้รับการจัดอันดับอยู่ที่ 93 โดย Times, อันดับที่ 75 โดย Guardian และ อันดับ 96 โดย Complete University Guide ด้านงานวิจัย หลักสูตร History และ Computer Science ได้รับคะแนนสูงสุด และงานวิจัยกว่า 30% ของมหาวิทยาลัยได้รับการประเมินว่าเป็นงานวิจัย ชั้นนำระดับโลก หรืองานวิจัยที่ได้รับจากนานาชาติ โดย Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008 และถือเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยในอังกฤษที่ได้คะแนนด้านความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาสูงโดย International Student Barometer 2013
