มหาวิทยาลัย London Metropolitan Universiry ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 2002 โดยการรวมกันของ University of North London และ London Guildhall University ที่นี่ได้ขึ้นชื่อว่าเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีคุณภาพและราคาไม่แพง มีหลักสูตรระดับปริญญามากกว่า 80 สาขาวิชาให้เลือก ด้วยคุณภาพด้านการศึกษา ทำให้หลักสูตรต่างๆนั้นได้รับการรับรองจากการประกันคุณภาพการศึกษาในประเทศอังกฤษ มหาวิทยาลัยมีวิทยาเขตอยู่ 2 แห่ง คือ London City ตั้งอยู่ใจกลางลอนดอนใกล้กับสถานีรถไฟ Aldgate และ London North จะอยู่ใกล้กับ Tower of London มหาวิทยาลัยยังมีการมอบทุนการศึกษาให้แก่นักเรียนที่มีผลการเรียนดีอีกด้วย
