University of Essex ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1964 ตั้งอยู่ที่เมือง Essex ซึ่งอยู่ทางทิศตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของกรุงลอนดอน และห่างจากกรุงลอนดอนเพียง 1 ชั่วโมงโดยรถไฟ มหาวิทยาลัยมีวิทยาเขตทั้งหมด 3 แห่งคือ Colchester เป็นวิทยาเขตที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดและใหญ่ที่สุด เป็นวิทยาเขตของ18 ภาควิชา วิทยาเขตที่สองชื่อ East 15 Loughton เดิมคือ East 15 Acting School เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของมหาวิทยาลัย ในปี ค.ศ. 2000 วิทยาเขตนี้ห่างจากลอนดอนเพียง 30 นาทีโดยรถไฟ
วิทยาเขตสุดท้ายคือ Southend เป็นวิทยาเขตที่ใหม่ที่สุดของมหาวิทยาลัยก่อตั้งในปี ค.ศ. 2007 ที่ Southend-on-Sea ซึ่งเป็นย่านศูนย์กลางทางธุรกิจที่สำคัญของเมือง และมีบรรยากาศดี ทัศนียภาพสวยงามเนื่องจากอยู่ติดกับชายทะเล University of Essex มีความเป็นเลิศทางด้านการเรียนการสอนและผลงานวิจัย 4 สาขาวิชา ได้แก่ Economics, Government, Sports Science และ Philosophy ได้คะแนนเต็มจาก The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education ในด้านการจัดการระบบการเรียนการสอนที่สนับสนุนการเรียนรู้ของนักเรียนอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

Academic Excellence International Masters Scholarship
Awards will be made on the basis of grades obtained in your first degree, so all applications for relevant courses will automatically be considered. The scholarship is awarded as a partial tuition fee waiver and is available for students on postgraduate taught Masters courses (excluding MBA).
