Cranfield University เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยระดับแถวหน้าด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี วิศวกรรมศาสตร์ การจัดการนวัตกรรม เปิดสอนเฉพาะระดับปริญญาโท และปริญญาเอกเท่านั้น มี 2 แคมปัส โดยแคมปัสหลักตั้งอยู่ที่ใกล้กับเมือง Milton Keynes และ Bedford เดินทางจากลอนดอน 20 นาทีทางรถไฟ และแคมปัส Shrivenham อยู่ใกล้เมืองสวินดอน เดินทางจากลอนดอน 1 ชั่วโมงทางรถไฟ เป็นที่ตั้งของสถาบันป้องกันสหราชอาณาจักร (Defence Academy of the United Kingdom)
