University of Sussex เป็นหนึ่งมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำของประเทศตั้งอยู่ทางตอนใต้ในเขตของเมือง Brighton ซึ่งนับเป็นเมืองที่มีสีสันมากที่สุดในประเทศอังกฤษ มีความโดดเด่นในทางภูมิศาสตร์ที่มีความสวยงามและเพียบพร้อมไปด้วย Shopping Mall ร้านอาหาร คาเฟ่ ที่เรียงรายกระจายอยู่ทั่วเมือง ได้ถูก Vote ว่า Place to be in England ถึง 3 ปีซ้อน เดินทางสะดวกห่างจากใจกลางเมือง Brighton เพียง 8 นาทีโดยรถไฟ
University of Sussex ได้ชื่อว่ามีความเป็นนานาชาติมากที่สุดแห่งหนึ่ง มีจำนวนนักเรียนและผู้สอนต่างชาติกว่า 2,250 คนจาก 120 ประเทศทั่วโลก และยังถือว่าเป็นเมืองแห่งการศึกษาที่สำคัญอีกด้วยเนื่องจากมีประชากรที่เป็นนักเรียนอยู่มาก มีผู้สอนที่มีความสามารถได้รับรางวัล Noble Prize ถึง 3 คนและยังมีรางวัลอื่นๆอีกมากมายในแต่ละสาขาวิชา ในปี 2010 Time Higher Education Magazine ได้จัดอันดับ University of Sussex ไว้ในอันดับ 8 ของมหาวิทยาลัยในอังกฤษ และ อันดับ 16 ของยุโรป ฉนั้นจึงมั่นใจได้ว่าระบบการศึกษาของมหาวิทยามีความเป็นเลิศในระดับนานาชาติ
เกณฑ์การรับสมัคร
มหาวิทยาลัยได้เปิดรับนักเรียนทั้งในระดับปริญญาตรีและปริญญาโทในหลายสาขาวิชาและยังเปิดรับนักเรียนที่ต้องการเรียนปรับพื้นฐาน (Pre-Masters Programme) สำหรับนักเรียนที่มี GPA หรือ IELTS หรือทั้ง 2 อย่างไม่ถึงเกทณ์ที่มหาวิทยาลัยกำหนด โดยเกณฑ์การรับทั่วๆไปจะรับที่ IELTS 6.0 with Writing and Listening 6.0
